Dress me up.

Shopping with bestie is always a fun affair, never mind I got cajoled into buying three pairs of shoes and two dresses. Haha! But they are good buys, and I especially love this whimsical collared dress with the cutest wooden buttons! :D

Check out www.inde-romel.com.sg, but I got the dress from their shop in far east. :)

Travel section updated!

If you haven't noticed, I added extra travel sections apart from this blog page, and I just updated the 'travel tips' section with a comprehensive travel packing guide that I have honed throughout my various trips for the past few years!

There are additional 'to bring' items for selective occasions like beach outings and winter etc below the compulsory items, so have fun browsing and hope it'll be useful!

I'll be updating the rest of the sections on the countries I've been to with my own experiences + photos, hopefully I'll remember all the fun places with addresses and all so you folks can use the information too. :)

To end this off, to find travel-related blog entries, just check out the categories part on the sidebar and click on the label 'travel'!

Bon Voyage!

Kiss me.

Just used this photo for a photo contest submission and figured that I might as well share with you all. :) I took this on my grad trip to Europe and it was found in a shop in Barcelona.

The two magnetic figurines are separate entites, until you start to move them closer to each other. They will magically tilt their heads forward and bend down ever so slowly, like a lovestory waiting to unfold. With their clasped hands outstretched behind their backs, they then kiss each other lightly on the lips, making you swoon in bliss. :)

If you are thinking I bought it, sorry to disappoint you. I remembered it was rather expensive so I took a video and bid goodbye to the lovebirds.

Adding on...

Btw, Liew Liyang made a guest appearance and her fans totally overpowered the entire audience! I would say both have different styles and different target audiences, but I still prefer Olivia :)

Olivia's campus concert

Just attended Olivia's (the girl who sang little nonya's theme song) campus concert and although I've been secretly loving her songs (especially make it mutual), listening to her sing live is another experience altogether. The clarity of her vocals, the sea breeze feel of her voice, the bossa nova edge, I can never get sick of listening to her sing. I would love to sit in a lounge, sip a long island tea drink while listening to her singing with two guitars accompanying. It's pure bliss. :)

P.S: I love all her original songs, and there's one called bittersweet in her new album that lingered in my mind. :)

Yigloo - top-all-you-want

Tried the new yigloo frozen yogurt (though it tasted more like ice cream) yesterday with miss STM aka mrs lim. She's starting to have too many nicknames that they contradict each other hahaha. So, we tried a medium cup ($5.50) two flavours (mint choc and cookies n cream) and the wonderful thing is that you can to pile on as much toppings you wish! As you can see from the photo, we eyed the choc bits that are awesome-ly delicious and also some strawberries. The toppings started falling off so that's when we know it's time to stop haha. Good for sharing! :)

Location: vivocity basement two, near Thai express

Are you excited yet?

Pre-employment briefing was fun though I had so much to digest. :) I could see that the HR person loves the company a lot and it's a good thing! I especially love her quote "since you are in the travel industry, please take the opportunity to travel!" I definitely will! Can't wait to start work proper already! :D

Aoba ramen

Yesterday was a shopping fiesta with reina! It feels so good having a reason to shop, even if it's for work clothes haha. Lunch was at Aoba ramen (ion branch). Love their gyozas but the ramen's texture doesn't suit me as it felt more like Chinese yellow noodles. :/ delicious broth though! Lunch set consisting of ramen and gyoza at $10.90++ :) ice water available! Another plus point.

New look, new beginnings.

Hope you didn't close your window thinking you went to the wrong site after seeing the drastic changes on my blog! :) Felt that it's time for a change and blogger has good tools so I don't have to worry about html coding and yet still be able to add my own touches to the blog like the images you see on top and below. :) do comment on my new layout and tell me if you like it or not!

Treats by Laurier

Lala and I went to catch the movie 'Going the distance' a week ago sponsored by Laurier! :) it's my fave brand simply because I love their slimguards. Haha.

The movie's wonderful and laugh-out-loud hilarious, and I love the chemistry between justin long and drew Barrymore. They look fantastic together plus they acted so naturally that it seems pretty real to me! In short, it's a must watch if you are in the mood for some relaxation and romance :) best to watch it with your partner!

A start of a new journey

Thank you, my love. For accepting everything that I am. May this relationship be a long and fruitful one. Looking forward to start our journey together on 1 oct! :D

P.S: it's not about Sean. Haha!

Like a love story

Everyday I'm waiting for your call, for your e-mail, always hoping that you'll contact me soon. It's like a teenage crush, I'm always so eager to reply you whenever you talk to me. I will catch on to every single word you say, and be on my best behavior when communicating to you. I double check my e-mails before sending, always adding a 'hope to hear from you soon'.

And the waiting, oh the excruciating wait. Days feel like years, and weeks like decades and you often pop into my mind unconsciously, staking your permanent presence even though the memory of our last contact was some time ago.

This love game is heart-wrenching, with so many ups and downs, so many surprises and disappointments. And to think I've been at it with you for nearly two months, with various other supporting characters and even one whom I have to reject.

Please give me an answer soon, because I don't want to guess anymore, and this transition is harder than I think.

You are so near yet so far.
