I hate to admit this, but i'm getting 'sian' writing my news article so i'll blog for now. hee.
Malay language class was interesting. languages are always interesting, and they don't feel like classes per se. don't know why. lol! reg, waisan and i were laughing like crazy throughout hee hee. this was what happened:
teacher (cikgu): how do you say horse in chinese?
Me: Ma. (well, the 'ma' with the 3rd tone)
teacher: what about Mother?
Me: Ma. (-_- looks silly in english but i said 'ma' with the 1st tone)
teacher: see? chinese is difficult because there are four tones you have to know! ma is ma in malay! ma is mother and that's all to it. easy right?
i can forsee an exciting time ahead. hahaha!
oh and i want to elaborate on my excitement in getting the science elective module that i wanted - biology in media. =D now i fully understand the meaning of 'cherish what you've got'.
i was so nervous when i did the add/drop process with kairu, so afraid that some lucky chap is gonna click add course at the same time as i do and get the elective i'm supposed to get! haha. but luckily it all went fine =) so now i'm relishing the feeling of getting that elective and i realised you will really cherish things that you took pains to get. last few semesters, i always got the subjects I wanted so I didn't think much of it, but now, i'm really really glad I got it. 也许真的失去了才懂得珍惜。
that teaches you not to take things for granted.
and also the fact that luck is very important. heehee
i'll make sure i get an A for that subject! =D
i hope i get a slot in summer studies!! i won't mind either of my choices (korea, japan, germany), so long as I get a chance to go overseas. =D luck, please be on my side this time!
