i got a job!

Yes! I will be starting work soon! :) yes, finally. haha! I still have a few weeks of "holidays" left but I totally can't wait to start being a contributing citizen in Singapore's society. and shop for work clothes. :D

Growing up is hard

Today, I learnt a very important lesson in negotiation. Get all your facts and info right before you start speaking, and also get them to tell you what they don't want to reveal.

It's a tough balancing act of wants and needs. It's determining who wants it more, and what they would settle for. It's also about 'i-know-what-you-did' and your upper hand in knowing that these are things that they don't want people to know.

But at the end of the day honesty still helps. And being able to take the criticisms and unnecessary scoldings. They are lucky I am patient. Very patient.

Get a honest property agent next time and one that does not try to get short term gains and pisses everyone off. If I could, I would study to be a certified property agent and do my own housing stuff.

And I would not go around shouting needlessly at people saying that they are childish and stupid. That anger does no harm to me if it's unnecessary. And please look at who you are directing it to. Who is the childish one now?

Happy lemon, sad lime

New bubble tea store at ion orchard! It's called happy lemon and if you are daring enough, try the rock salt with cheese flavor. I wasn't as brave so here's my caramel tea latte with brown sugar jelly. Quite a mouthful huh? It tastes great and is worth the long queue haha. Still, my first love is, and forever will be, KOI's milk tea with grass jelly.

Tell me nandos nandos nandos

Ate at the new nandos outlet today at tanglin mall. Peri-peri sauce is awesome but not as spicy as I imagined it to be. That's good though, so that it doesn't overpower the flavor of the chicken. Their lemon and herbs flavour is the best because you get peri sauce too, as their condiments are displayed on the table. Love their peri fries! Oh their specialty drinks are quite cool. :)

Yog fever

I'm attending the preliminaries of swimming at the Singapore yog on 17 aug! :) love the visa-ezlink card that comes along with it! Ezlink card's valid for 5 yrs and the visa prepaid card acts as debit card once you top up funds in it!

P.S to all graduating students, out tertiary ezlink card will be invalid by October! So in order to keep ur card to get student discounts, I would advis you to change to a normal ezlink soon because when it expires and there're still funds in ur card, u can only refund at the expense of ur card :)

Forever living mooncakes

I know it's still the hungry ghost month, but let's plan ahead and think about the delicios mooncakes we'll eat in a month's time. :D I, for one, love plain lotus seeds type without any yolk. Oh, any variations related to green tea, chocolate or ice cream will intrigue me too. haha!

La Nonna

It was a rainy day when bear and I ate at La Nonna at namly for a very belated birthday celeb. Crab pasta was delicious but the pizza blew us away :D since I can only upload one photo as I'm using email to blog, this Parma ham pizza shall be the focus! Thin, crispy, full of flavor - just the way I like it!

If you ever head there, order truffle sauce (hiding behind the pizza) for your pizzas for an extra buck and trust me, it's worth it. :)

Koi

Blissfully and delightfully in love with koi's grass-jelly-that-is-unbelievably-smooth milk tea. Even babies without teeth can drink it. New shop at illuma!

A knife

Harm comes in many forms - physical, verbal, emotional. Words hurt more often than I want to admit. And yet I know those words are meaningless, and it should not warrant any reaction from me anyway. Because the people who matter are important. Even if people who matter break your heart, soon the person will be someone you won't care about. Defenses come in the form of mind strength. The stronger you are absorbing reality and variations, the better you understand humankind and navigate around without any injuries.

Immature

Shouting vulgarities and creating useless trouble just by grabbing attention doesn't get you any results. It doesn't help anything except your ego, which is worthless. Get it?
