It's an embarrassing thing, but yeah, I got caught by a policeman for jaywalking last saturday, along with two other kakis who happily strolled across the road with me from peninsular plaza to peninsular shopping centre. haha!
Don't ask me how it happened, I didn't know the policeman was catching jaywalkers and not illegal immigrants, plus the traffic lights took so long to change, and on top of that, the walkway at the traffic light was stuffed to the brim with people waiting to cross the road.
Fine, we did jaywalk quite a distance away from the traffic light. hahaha. Convenience is the key!
Well I guess I learnt my lesson - not to jaywalk when you see a policeman standing across the road, obviously waiting to catch its prey. =P
But the policeman is nice though, he explained things quite clearly and could see that the three of us were shell-shocked.
Oh, we went to buy 4D immediately after that but didn't win anything. heh. serves us right lah.
now we three are sitting at our respective homes, waiting for the letter to come and inform us to pay $20. -.-
luckily i confessed to my dad, who doesn't seem to be angry at all, but more amused than anything. lol! And double luckily that we won't have any records too. Phew.
So people, please look before you cross the road, not only for cars, but for suspicious blue men holding clipboards too. hahahaha
