i want to rave about jones the grocer. =D (and i'll continue raving for the next few entries) It's located at Dempsey road and the people there are so friendly and heart-warming that i would want to go there a million times to relax, chill or even study! yes, their tables are all free-seating and it's really a very conducive place to study or just have idle chit chats like the tai tais around. hahaha!
well, i'll start on my article on it and perhaps post it up when i'm done. =) you can look for it in the next issue of chronicle too! P/S: try their cheeses, they are heavenly. oh did i mention it before? yeah i think i did. wahaha! well, the assistants there are really friendly, allowing michelle and i to try all sorts of things and explain everything in detail too! a girl, sonia, who's from australia, even praised us on writing an article for school and everything.
which brings me to another point.
i have this project in school that requires us to look into brands of pizzas and consumers' insights etc. and guess what?
I called Spizza because i recalled having a fantastic experience eating their pizzas there before and was quite positive that they'll allow us to interview the owners and customers, but in the end? they rejected on the notion that we will disrupt their operations. -_- it really irks me you know. i do believe in maintaining good customer relations and if you think a student's project will not give any benefit to your company, then you are very, very wrong. well, as people say, small things do matter. word-of-mouth is a very good strategy, like what my lecturer said. (Reina says canadian pizza gave the same response too. and so did pizza hut. BAH)
okay, maybe i'm over-reacting (that's why everything is in small font) but will helping a few students cut a chunk of your flesh out? i really don't understand. karma absolutely exists in this world. and well, it's not as if our interview is in the evening or something. it's noon, on a friday what. well, we are fine with even afternoon hours.
WHY is everyone so obssessed with profits!!!! WHY is helping someone so difficult? =( why are there no kind souls around who will help students out? so dejected.
if i were to start a business, i will totally do it in a non-hierarchal way. yes, passion will not feed anyone, maybe i'll be a money-minded business woman next time, but i'll try not to. trust me. if i were to be a successful person next time, i'll remind myself to help those who are sincere. bah. fine, i'm just ranting.
i'm sure i will find a nice pizza joint that will welcome us and we will definitely do an earth-shattering presentation on it. plus, i'll blog about it and tell the whole wide world how nice the pizza place is. and i'll forever be a loyal customer of it.
i think sarpino's pizza is responding well. *crosses fingers* you go, michelle!!! give us good news! =D
i'm super happy about other things today so i shall not dwell on this. calling more pizza places soon!
