one word: amazing
My lessons ended at 1030am so wanwei and I had plenty of time to make our way down to kallang indoor stadium. we reached there at 3 plus after having lunch in jp. no surprise there, but i saw hordes of people queuing for the merchandise already. well well. I bet they are earning big bucks selling all these stuff at extraordinary prices.
too bad i suddenly 'kena' sore throat that morning and was quite tired to build up a good anticipation to the concert. well, considering we bought the tickets the day before, i guess we were still quite shocked to actually be excited haha!
oh we went to take pictures with the inflated jay doll outside the stadium cos it looked so funky hahaha!
miss cai wanwei!
i love jay! not to a very large extent till i go and become a fan club member or something, but i really admire his talents in composing, playing piano and guitar, and well, basically in fusion music =) i like his november chopin album the best haha
oh this was taken at the new leisure shopping centre beside kallang indoor stadium. seems like there's this new cinema (filmgarde) that looks quite like other cinemas but more classy haha. the owner seem to have done his/her homework, cos this is the famous picture that was duplicated so many times by some artist to make a point about commercialism i think. crap, my 206 knowledge seem to have disappeared over time.
we went for yogurt-eating session! at yoguru =) steep prices, i would say, but it's for two to share so i won't complain. =D $3.30 for a regular, $3.80 for a special yogurt blend, $1.20 for one ingredient, $1.80 for two and so on. i forgot the rest of the prices. haha
trying my hand at creative shots! wanwei's holding her camera phone.
cool angle right? =D i'm getting better! lol yep this is the regular sized (quarter eaten by us before we realised we should take pictures) with mango bits! quite refreshing taste though i like the normal flavour better than the special blend. latter's slightly more sourish with dragonfruit and pomegranate. ask for tastings before you buy, the people there are nice =D well, we were glad there is a place for us to chill out and rest our aching legs. besides, the ambience's quite good too!
anyway, the concert was fantastic!!! of course i do have a few grouses to make, but overall I really enjoyed myself!! we were situated at the left side of the stage, much much nearer to the stage than the front-facing rows I would say, thus we really felt very very lucky! =D especially when he kept coming to our side and sing heehee.
rows and rows of green hand-shaped cardboards
i am really sitting beside the stage!
the highlights of the show include the organisers giving us a huge green hand cardboard thingy that reads "I [heart] U Jay",
there you go
us singing birthday songs to him, this guy from nan quan mama (who was dressed like a woman ) came out and tried to kiss him, and of course his piano pieces!!!
i totally love the part whereby he did the duet piece with this guy who appeared in his movie, "secret" and also the few trademark songs with piano accompaniment =D oh yes, and he played the gu zheng also! haha and his lyrics composer, fang wen shan also crafted a poem that is shown while a lady played the er hu. too bad i didn't catch much of the lyrics!
however, too bad jay's sick on that day (flu bug caught onto him tsk tsk) so he didn't perform to his best. also, the concert time was too short!!!! exactly 2 and a half hours =( and the encores were so staged man! -_- no surprise element at all. sigh. the events company need some proper planning to do. okay i shall not talk about them cos i sorta know them =x maybe i should go into concert planning next time. i have so much ideas to contribute heh heh. me and my whacky ideas.
but i do applaud the switch between the two guys playing the piano though. that really shocked me =D
oh you know i'm so embarrassed when i saw a security guard i know! O.o of all places!!! he was right in front of me standing beside the stage and i sheepishly waved at him. gosh, he must have thought i'm some die-hard fan or something. hahaa! he even gave me that 'wah, i didn't know you are so gung-ho" look and smile haha! sorry steven! he's really a nice guy, he talked to me non-stop for a few hours before, talking about his daughter and playing sudoku with me when i'm bored during my company's event last time. lol! wanted to ask him whether i can get special access to see jay chou but i think he'll just kill me. hee hee. professional ethics! okay i did restrain myself. anyway wanwei and i thought we were quite old for idol chasing, seeing so many secondary school people around. so sad!!
okay, enough of me talking, now for the pictures that really made me buy a $198 ticket without any regrets.

very satisfied us =D =D =D
