I have this tendency to love to blog a lot of stuff at one go. haha! =D here's a perfect example.
Let me start with last saturday, when i met up with AC band peeps for lunch! we all talked and talked and talked like long lost pals haha! great to see everyone again =D

me, victoria, junming, david, yong thieng! =D i think we all didn't meet up for at least a year plus lol. all thanks to facebook that we decided to meet up again!

the 'mutant' - joke from the movie Mr. magorium's wonderous emporium =D we all watched that movie after eating but sadly it wasn't very exciting. not much variation to the plot but i do like the parts whereby they incorporated interesting bits into the storyline (eg. the monkey wanting hugs all the time)

zee guys - all talking in army lingo while vick and i tried to catch up with their gibberish lol

shopping in taka!

thanks everyone! for waiting with me for derrick to come before i go off for sok's bday celeb. haha

christmas cheer all around! =D

we rested in TCC in shaw centre =) not a very good experience there but i shall not elaborate. i don't think there's much right or wrong, but it's just not very nice of them. anyway, here's a pic of the dark devotion cake. sadly it wasn't up to our standards and the bottom is slightly burnt too. =x how disappointing. it's really not worth the price. urgh.
we missed each other so much (okay slightly overboard haha!) that we decided to meet up again on monday!! picnic time! trust vick to think of this idea lol. i've not been to picnics for ages man. almost forgot what i should bring. anyway, we went to botanic gardens this time and boy, it's really clean and spacious inside! great for jogging and stuff though, plus it's so near to town that you can just hop there after enjoying the greenery. (i think i ought to be botanic gardens' ambassador. lol)

i met vick at gombak mrt station in the wee hours of the morning. to think i slept at 4am the night before! =x totally shagged haha. junming came to pick us up in his peugeot! cute little car with weird windows but nevertheless very cozy! =D his GPS street directory is awesome, it speaks to you a in smoothing woman's voice and it helps you plan routes! ha, how useful.

excited. =D tired too! lol

once we stepped into the place, we started acting like tourists haha! but it really changed so much so that i totally cannot remember what's the old botantic gardens like =P

i killed small david muahaha

us! looks like an entrance to some resort right? haha

doing silly stuff while waiting for junming the toilet king haha!

spotted a squirrel!

this is the famous tree on your $5 note! check it out lol

food! breakfast! ham, cheese, bread, tuna, chips, fruits, drinks, chocolates (i bought them), pizzas (homemade by vick! YUMMY), fresh lettuce (brought by yours truly) and some assorted stuff! haha we couldn't finish everything in the end lol. i have a sudden yearning for macaroni salad! =(

real and true picnic. surprisingly, no insects bothered us (except a nosy ant but that's about all). the weather wasn't that good though. it rained just as we were about to pack up and hit town. haha

saw some cute kiddos playing!

lisa joined us! =D picnic was really a great and refreshing idea. pray for good weather though, if not you'll be running for shelter everywhere. haha. but there's a lot of shelters in botantic gardens so its not so bad actually. =)
we hopped to town in the midst of the heavy rain but thank goodness for junming's car, if not we won't be able to go anywhere. haha. walked around quite aimlessly before getting an early dinner at ichiban boshi! =) they have wonderful cheap set meals for weekdays heh. but you have to order before 5.30pm though.

my cream dory fish with egg don! $8 for the main dish, a drink, a bowl of miso soup, a plate of side dish and two gyozas! totally worth the price eh? =D

extremely tired afer the long weekend but nevertheless i really enjoyed myself =D

jing the one who plays with food attacked again. haha! this time i used mayo and lettuce and some wasabi and sauce to make this stick figure. cute right? i think i might have a potential talent in food decoration. maybe i should apply to shatec...

random photo - my revamped christmas wreath! =D i added the bear in the middle. it looks more complete right? hee
back to saturday's dinner gathering with SB2!! heng there's derrick to help me carry the cake and stuff cos sok's card was really gigantic. haha

there you go! a great big snoopy card for a great 21st birthday! =D

sigh we are all getting old =(

the dudes

beloved class! =) vila'ge and marche are great places to have huge outings because number one, everyone pays for their own food and you never have to worry about splitting bills and stuff. number 2, you get different choices and varieties of food that will somehow satisfy most people. haha. number 3, you can bring your own cake in!!!! =D number 4, well, you can stay as long as you want. =)

one last picture before we all leave. after that, david, bing, sok, siew and I went to settlers' cafe for board games! =D we played some new games and some brainless games and also pictionary maniac! the latter was fun but tough! =D
on sunday, i helped out in a street roving event - getyoursexyback.sg =) we went around stamping the website URLs on people's hands and giving them sexy rings! we also asked them to pose for some photos after asking them to write on a board what do they think is sexy. hahaa you should see the answers that we get - they were hilarious! lol there's this pair of foreigners who drew a picture of a gorzilla and this group of kawaii japanese students writing 'holiday is my sexy' on the board. =D we volunteers have to write on it too at the end of the day so i wrote 'jazz is my sexy'! heh. after that i realised i should have written 'mahjong' instead but it just slipped my mind HAHA
after that, i met up with siew (abeit coincidentally) before heading to galers' kbox gathering! =D

my lovely galers haha =) so glad that we are able to have gatherings after gatherings lol! okay i'll organise the next one yeah =D hopefully!

joycey and me with my sexy shirt! lol

crammed!
we sang and sang until 3am lol! at first there were a mixture of songs but in the later part it all became oldies duets and lame songs like 'ben xiao hai' haha =D i think i'll never get bored of singing heh. =) my only regret is that the english songs are so backdated and their MTVs are in need of some polishing lol.
Chermaine's 20th birthday celebration!
quite a number of people have birthdays in december i realised. haha. two davids birthdays are coming up!
i went over to shuhuiii's house in the morning to be an interviewee in her articles. haha i'm now officially labelled as a facebook addict! lol =D we had lunch at long john silver's (ages since i last ate there, almost forgot how heaty the stuff were. yikes. not good for health. lol) and we had an exciting time in the arcade hahaha!
it all began when we walked past this candy machine (you put money inside to scoop candy on this moving platform and it'll push sweets to the drop hole to you) and it started dropping free sweets out of nowhere! naturally, both of us were so delighted that we decided to stick around and wait for more sweets to drop. hee hee. =D and it really did! like three more. haha! so i became motivated to try my luck and i played once on the machine. =P i got quite a number of sweets (mentos and caramel and this strawberry biscuit) so we sat there enjoying our rewards when this group of girls came to the machine and started to play like crazy.
i tell you, we calculated at least $50 was spent on it. =x they were just playing and playing like money's no matter to them! i think they played for half an hour and finally in the end they hit the jackpot. my goodness. all the while shuhuiii was half-screaming beside me, "this amount of money can buy us a good meal! my god! jing jing please kill me, i cant believe they spent so much on this!" hahahaha. well, they got a mickey stuffed toy in the end but of course it's really not worth the money. =x besides, their playing skills were quite lousy hahaha. both of us watched on with utter disbelief and slight annoyance lol.
kids are really rich nowadays. i don't recall spending so much at one go on a candy machine that sprouts mentos mint sweets! lol then we watched a few girls playing some trading card game on machines too. i think you swipe the cards on the machine and play some stuff to score points and you'll get new cards or something. this mother was saying rather smugly to another auntie, "oh i spent around $80 plus to buy the book with the cards for my daughter. you know, you have to slowly collect one. cannot get all at one go."
i'm speechless. haha
in the evening, we met up with waisan, kairu, cheryl and the birthday girl in bugis station. =)
after that, we headed to the quirky little cafe near NLB, food for thought. =D it was opened by teachers because they operate a tuition centre above it and i can list so many drool-worthy points about them.
1. they don't charge GST or service charge but their service is WAY better than most of the restaurants I've been to. i'm dead serious. =) they are just so friendly! see? we don't need service charge to ensure good service, what matters is the person serving. =)
2. they have free iced water for all. =) which is an important aspect of any eatery i believe. so yeah, support all food places with free iced water! =D it promotes healthy lifestyle too!
3. they have FREE candy corns!!! hint - refer to facebook's application, go fluff(pets) and then fluff(food) and viola! you'll see it. shuhuiii and i grabbed some of the real stuff (they gave them out for free) and went gaga over them hahaha! =D i really love them to bits man. the cafe, not the candy corns lol!

pictorial evidence! =D
4. delicious AND good priced food! =) combos are going for about $25 for two person to share, inclusive of soup (their mushroom soup was heavenly but too pure for me. =P in other words, too many shitake mushrooms to bear for me. haha) and salad and main course! their main courses consist of sandwiches of different flavours, you can choose a mixture for the combos! =) what i really like about it is that the food is really natural and healthy but at the same time the flavour is not compromised. =) on the same par as miss clarity cafe! but truthfully i would like the stuff in miss clarity more, because i love their western dishes. hee.

soup for mushroom lovers

miss sunshine!

chicken caser salad! the BEST =D feels like eating chicken rice without the rice hahaha!

=D

watercress with corn and parsely salad =)

mains! tapas style. =)

another kind

burps

birthday girl with durian cake and mango cake! woot~

here's the signboard of the cafe =) do visit it someday!

my dream doggie next time. haha i spotted it when going for tuition in orchard =P couldn't get the front view though haha. but it's really cute with stumpy legs and pretty face! =D
yep! i think that's about all. gosh, i took two hours just to do up this post. my shoulders are aching like hell now! till next time peeps! hope you all had fun reading this! =D
