New beginning

Things can go both ways.

I remembered chatting with grace not long ago over dinner about our internships.

She envied me having my own namecard, own e-mail address, a (rather) spacious office to work in, located in the prime CBD area, having all the time in the world to learn the ropes of the workforce.

I, on the other hand, really envied her for being able to produce solid work of her own. She writes press releases, communicate with clients all by herself, execute proposals and all that. She recounted her second day of work whereby she had to translate some articles for her boss and complete a press release within a short span of time.

grass is indeed greener on the other side, don't you agree? =)

what's the use of namecards if I don't have anyone to give it to? yes, i'm really grateful i'm in a huge company but at times i'm really sick of photocopying things, doing manual labour, looking at people being busy and yet no one's teaching me what to do or how to do.

i guess i'm the sort of person who rather have things to do than to do nothing the whole day. preferably meaningful things, not things which can be done easily if you hire a temp staff. =x

okay, pardon me please, i'm just totally bored after weeks of microsoft excel and tons and tons of data entry haha. I did learn some things, I learnt about events management, I learnt how to have more self-confidence, but I realised I learnt too little. I am so desparate to learn things now that i'm actually REALLY looking forward to school. =D

oh well. just some muses on my part while sitting in the office now trying to align labels. GRRRR
