my blogging frequency has decreased significantly over the past few weeks, i guess main reason being school, school and more school! haha
oh did i mention i love school? (so far) or rather, i love mass comm cos i've been treated to movie marathons recently hee hee
i recall watching this weird and extremely boring John Smith 1976 film during 206 lecture that day. it was 15 minutes worth of black and white film of this little street in england with shops lined along the street. yes, the whole film just focused on THAT street, with no actors and the narrator even had the cheek to describe every single nitty gritty stuff that happened. for example: "two birds flew past." and "an old man in a checkered shirt walked from left to right" O.o
Next one was much much better =D we watched this japanese short film (Jam films 2 series) titled "the japanese tradition" (directed by Junji Kojima) which is supposedly a satirical film on how to woo a japanese woman. it was absolutely hilarious and had us all roaring with laughter in no time hahaa!!! we even gave a round of applause for the film after it ended lol! it's basically about ten rules to successfully woo a woman starting from the first encounter and such. =) It'll take me ages to recount the whole story so do pop by a DVD shop and rent it or sth if you are free. hee hee
oh then we watched this interesting clip on charles darwin's theory of evolution in the comm history module too. then we were showed this video about speed dating and how this prof tried to analyse the emotion "love" by categorizing it into three parts, lust, romance and attachment and saying how one person will fall in love within 6 milliseconds. unbelievable? hahaha!
okay let's hope there's more to come. =) i'll be waiting for the week whereby our lecturer will screen the film 300! =D
on a slightly different note, here's some lateral thinking riddles for you all. make a guess! maybe you have heard of them before somewhere lol
1) A man and his son are in a car crash. The father is killed and the son is taken to hospital gravely injured. When he gets there, the surgeon says "I can't operate on this boy- he is my son!" How is this possible?
2) There is a man who lives on the top floor of a very tall building. Everyday he gets the elevator down to the ground floor to leave the building to go to work. Upon returning from work though, he can only travel half way up in the lift and has to walk the rest of the way unless it's raining! Why?
have fun! =D
