well. i have just typed out a long entry and when i wanted to press ctrl c to save it, it disappears on me. =( no mood to type again. shall leave this for next time. gah.
ho ho ho. i'm in singapore society lecture now and not feeling patriotic though. hee hee. i shall try to retype yesterday's lost post. hahaa.
firstly! i went to my granny's friend's daughter's wedding dinner at Ling Zhi restaurant on sat night. =) my dad and i reached there quite early so we decided to pop by the Borders book store to browse around before going there. heh. i was flipping through all the bridal mags and the gowns inside are so pretty!!! the bride is sooooo beautiful with her white tube gown with tiny silver beads all over! =D
anyway, as usual the dinner starts at 8.30pm when the time stated on the card is 7.30pm. tsk tsk.. being punctual people like my dad and I, we had to endure the hour-long waiting by chatting mindlessly away. hahaa. i was asking him stuff like diamond rings (how much), bridal gowns and why are wedding cakes fake. heh. so what i wanna say is that why can't people come early?? what's so hard about preparing your stuff earlier and the place is like in orchard beside wheelock, so what's so hard to find it? =x
so i told my dad that when i get married, i'll write on the wedding invitation "Please come at 7.30pm sharp and dinner will DEFINITELY start at 8pm. Please also take note that the first dish will be cold lobster and scallops and crabs. There will also be a plate of pipping hot sting ray with the best chilli you can find in the entire world (well, the sting ray is a bit out of point but its yummy so it shall be served! muahaha)"
my dad was commenting that i should have a lucky draw thingy at 7.45pm so that people (like shuhui! haha) will definitely come early. first prize will be a handphone!!!! whoaaa attractive eh? lol.
sounds like my dream wedding is becoming a lantern festival celebration. =x
okay i side-tracked. haha. back to the actual wedding. their food was delicious!! it is actually a vegetarian restaurant but of course i was secretly wishing for chilli crabs and fried fish and prawns but well. =P they even cook spinach so well that i don't even know i'm eating it! hahaa all along i thought it was seaweed or something. their tofu is so smooth too!!! yummmm =)
anyway i had a very filling dinner but by the time we got out the haze is horrendous. =x that's why i had the haze post i guess. haha!
now for towel jokes. actually there's only one hahaa
last friday night i was staying over at siew's house and she started chanting "maow!" "maow jing! (towel)" "maow jing de maow! (towel's hair)" "jing de maow jing de maow! (well, its jing's towel's hair -.-)" hahahahahaha very lame right? -__-
okay that's even more out of point.
omg my lecturer just showed us a newspaper clipping from this morning saying that 400 people strike third prize in 4D yesterday!!! ang mo kio ave 10 i think. cos there is this chinese god "toa bei gong" and they prayed for numbers and it really came out!!! goshhhh lucky ducks!
I realised something last night too. That i should really leave certain things to fate cos sometimes i feel i'm just not grasping what is real. yes, dreams and wishes may make me happy and hopeful, but what i want is concrete truth. i regret certain things i did but i know these things happen so that i can grow and learn from experience. i suppose i really do not know what are you thinking now. and i suppose i should just be myself. maybe, along the road of life there'll be pleasant surprises waiting for me! =)
okay just ignore my musings for the previous paragraph. hahaha.
groan. still haven't finish my 102 research paper yet. =( reg is beside me pia-ing too. haha! and i still have 108 research paper!!! tuition later too. argh. dunno what to teach my tutee. hahaa.
half an hour more till lecture ends!!!!!! =D okay off to do my essay. haha. tata!
