I didn't have the courage to click on it. Perhaps events that flew past my mind made me realise that sometimes hope is just like eating chocolates in your dream: you think you are happy but in reality it doesn't really exist.
i really hate myself for bursting the dream bubble but being me, deep down i always know what is fact and fact is i should have woken up from my dream by now.
well. moving on to other stuff. =)
i doubt i would have the time to update starting tomorrow all the way till next week cos i'll be working full shifts (seriously) from ten to eleven daily. argh. its a long story but i feel so stressed just thinking about weekdays next week cos we don't have enough people to work at all. the worst case scenario? being scolded by customers about our poor service and swearing never to come and eat again. oh well. we do have a fair share of that though. -.-"'
was looking at some blogs just now and i read some debate about the recent elections. aiii. i do think we all are lucky to have people fighting in a civilised manner for a new govt. i mean, what if there are strikes and riots etc? or maybe singaporeans are just plain lazy to do that. heeheehee. still, i remembered that day i was being questioned by an over-zealous taxi driver on who will i support if i get to vote?
you wanna know the answer?
i think i'll just do a blank vote
maybe draw tweety bird on the paper, write my full name, address and NIRC number and pray for the best party to win.
lol. just kidding
dad says the important thing about PAP winning is that it doesn't affect our investments with foreign countries because if there are really major changes to the government, investors will just back out because of unstability. yep thats the word. unstability.
don't we all longed for "stable-ness"?
its all fair in the game of love, and i dare to say, politics.
nothing is perfect in the world. people are displeased with the current government because they didn't grant their wishes or they are below their expectations. but humans are greedy, their wants are unlimited, so no matter how many times you change the government, it will still be unable to satisfy everyone, which brings us to the matter of just satisfying the general public. =)
and that's why PAP got 66.6% of the votes. they satisfy 66.6% (give or take a few %) of the singapore population!
and by democracy,
they win!
you know, i wouldn't mind seeing how singapore changes if the opposition really wins but on a second thought, i rely more on stablity so thanks, but no thanks. XD
okay i'm done with my ramblings. heh. crappy yes, but let me have some space to grumble. =) must be all the work that's making me insane. gosh.
gonna hit the bed soon! cheers!
