mannn. yesterday was a hell of a day.
the story goes like this:
i woke up early in the morning at 8am to prepare to go to huiwen's house cos i wanna draw the patch of forest that is beside her house as part of my portfolio stuff. so i gathered all my heavy paints etc and reached there at around 9am. was a little woozy cos i slept quite late the night before but somehow we found ourselves finding a spot to start painting among the grasses. well well well. one important lesson i learnt is NOT to sit on wild grasses even with newspapers separating you from the wildlife because somehow wildlife will find their way to you! =/
tons and tons of huge gigantic ants crawled on to our newspapers and we spent half the time trying to shooo them away. sad to say, some of them ended up dying because i stomped on them. =( sorry. there are even a few butterflies around. =/ the last straw was when a brown spider came in front of me and stood there, not moving. eeewwwww!!! i immediately stood up and declared that i'm gonna stand up drawing and never let my ass touch the ground anymore. XD
yahh. so that's our interesting experience with nature. =D
didn't managed to complete the drawing but then there's only some final touching up to do... add a few more leaves here and there....
after that we went back her house to wash the stuff and went to bukit panjang plaza to have lunch!! =D we ate at the newly opened foodcourt and the laska is super duper irresistably fantastic!!! trust me! its beyong heavenly! wahahaha
went into a pet shop after that to check out the cute doggies and hamsters!!!! XD awwww i really felt like just buying every single one of them home!! =) the pups are so sweet~~ and the tiny little hamsters! *swoon* maybe someday i'll really buy them back. =P
soon after i went home cos my dad wants me back by 3pm as a computer repair man is coming to repair our old computer. too bad after one hour of struggling with the hard disk, he managed to save only a certain part of it and my switz photos doesn't seem to be in it... SAD =(
then after i met huiwen again at lot1 to take a cab to return some keys to my mom and rushed down to aljunied for a garage concert. SIGH. this is the weirdest part. the thing is both huiwen and i are wearing clothes suitable for clubbing (we are going mos to check out job vacancies that night) and i realised that the concert is more of a casual rock tees-and-jeans style so i felt really really out of place there. =/ its really not the right place and the right situation for us to be showing up like that. so in the end had to disappoint my friend and leave the place. =( really wanted to stay and listen but i know i'll definitely be stressed out in there with a halter top and skirt while everyone feels so at home. arghhhh
well. whats done cant be undone. ultimately the outcome depends on what decisions are made. sorry pal...
too bad for huiwen cos she had to endure my extremely black and stoned face throughout the journey to clarke quay XD spotted alot of nice cafes to chill out and enjoy some live singing performance! cooool. someday i wanna go there and enjoy life =P
actually the river in clarke quay really have a smoothing effect on everyone and you won't find any fast-paced activities there and everyone seems to be so relaxed and joyful that you just can't help but get into the peaceful mood. =) someday you all should try going there! hahaa
oh yah speaking of fast-paced, there is a reverse bungee jumping thing though. LOL watched a few girls went up and boy they really spin! i feel giddy even watching them! =D
went to kinokuniya to pass time and i ended up speed reading a few interesting books. heehee found a new nicholas sparks book! might buy it some day =)
then after its mos!!! wahahahaha. XD went in early at 9 plus so there's not much people around. =) the place is rather cool with damn good light effects! went around searching for siew and her retro room. hahaa. passed by 'pure' room but too bad its restricted to age 25 and above. =( finally found the retro room with huge round swings and the cute little dance floor. hahahaa
thanxs siew for all the free drinks! =P her bartender friend even topped up my drink automatically! XD heehee
i guess i could get used to working there but then it really requires some serious thinking cos it will be a totally different environment and i wonder if i could stand it in a smoke-filled room for ten hours. =/ i'm not that addicted to clubbing and everything so maybe it won't be as easy to work there.. but like my dad says, its good to have some exposure to the nightlife entertainment so that i'll know all sorts of people out there. the drunk, the sane, the weird! hahahahaa
will try calling the office tomorrow. if all goes well, guess i'll give it a try then. =) never imagined i would ever be working at mos but hey, if i can survive there, i can survive anywhere. =P
anyway the funniest part is there is this french guy named shawn (i think) who came up to me and introduced himself while huiwen and i were sitting at the bar. i was rather shocked when he told me he's 27 and has travelled to all sorts of countries around the world. we had a rather nice chat about japan cos he lived there for the past few years but then when he offered to buy me a drink and dance i declined. =) hahaa wasn't in a very peaceful mood that night so yah. he must be thinking why are singaporean girls so stony and stubborn. aww i set a pretty bad example for us girls. hahaa
think we talked for around ten minutes and i was actually quite relieved to see him go cos i really have nothing much to say and his "i love your smile" is getting scary. =/ maybe if i really go clubbing again (long long time to come) i'll drag few guys along to be safe. wahahaha. XD
too bad i didn't bring my camera because he's really quite cute you know. =P
but then, its scary and i feel vunerable with only huiwen beside me! at least siew is nearby and her friendly bartender is always hovering arond the area in front of me. XD
on a side note, the toilets at mos are really squeaky clean and very posh too. =D there are even cosy sofas around! niceeee
man its really a heck of a day huh. hahaha
had to work again today. woke up early in the morning for no reason and immediately slept back after knowing its just 9am!!! in the end i woke up at 12 noon and rushed out of the house at 1230. hahahaa
worked till late today and reached home not long ago. saw LOTS of couples celebrating valentine's day and sometimes you really envy them. =) heehee too bad lah i'm working on v-day itself, which totally spoils the v-day mood man. =/ siannnnn was thinking could go for spa or something with girlfriends. boo.
such a long entry. =P getting quite exhausted now... think i need a loooong sleep to recuperate. =D ciao~~
