Its another day of training yesterday. =) met some new servers and saw some new cooks too. hahaha. i think the highlight of the day is when one golden hair boy asked kim (one of the servers) for her mobile number. XD wahahaha interesting! i wanted to help her pass the number but i don't have a pen!!! =/ its really funny when kim kept tagging my shirt saying she's damn nervous and me walking around asking people for a pen. hahaha in the end some guy went in to get the golden boy's phone and ask her to just key in the number. XD interesting!
seems like everyone's warming up now. i guess we have to get used to each other as we all will be working together for many months to come. =) nice to see us girls in a big group and eating lunch and shopping together! =)
the main part of training yesterday was helping tody up the restaurant and also learning to carry two sets of meals at one time. =/ the latter is tough i tell you. they fill the bowls and plates with water and asks you to walk one whole circle around the place and also serve it to people who are pretending to be customers. there's a few life-threatening moments when some people almost dropped the whole tray but thank goodness they always spot it before it slips. =X scary!
was extremely tired when they ended the training at 5pm and i went straight to the food court to have a doze while waiting till 630 for dad to fetch me to attend a wedding! =) it was held at the traders hotel and it looks really posh! we had drinks and chips before the actual dinner starts and as usual, by the time the bride and groom walks in, its already 9pm. -_____-"" i wonder why singaporeans can't be punctual. i waited for FREAKING two hours!!!!!!! goodness.
next time i wed, i'll write on the invitation card saying, "dinner starts at 8pm sharp. any latecomers will be left standing outside the door until interval time which is 10pm. any inconvenience is regretted. you won't want to miss the first dish which is shark fin's soup, don't you?"
wahahahahaha *evil laugh*
joke aside, the couple looks so sweeeeet together!! hahaha. there's even a video clip showing how they met! seems like a friend invited the guy to a jazz pub and his friend knows the bride too, so they ended up talking. the bride said that the groom brought along with him a huge umbrella and the funny thing is it isn't raining outside! hahaa! but her wish for a "tall, dark and handsome" guy is granted! XD they look so blissful together!
tried drinking some red wine later during the dinner but somehow the taste doesn't really appeal to me. hahaha. =P orange juice is better.
the dinner ended with loud cheers of "yam sheng!" and tons of photos taken. what a nice ending! =)
at night i was talking on phone with siew and playing O2Jam online with her when she mushed that she wished she had a story to tell too coz it seems like everyone has some life/love stories to tell. =) oh well me too. maybe one day we'll have really nice and touching stories to telll our grandchildren! hahahha let's just wait and see. =) someday somewhere your prince charming is waiting for you!!! hahaha i hope mine can sing songs to me and play the guitar and piano like what the groom did to the bride on stage that night. =) *winks* at the meantime we shall enjoy the single's life! wheeee
alright gonna go off now. what a nice day to rest at home. =)
