interesting discoveries

been enjoying the past two days! =) went around singapore with my dad to all sorts of places like LTA (land transport authority) headquarters (to renew his license), CPF building (to do dunno what) and of course to shop for what i need to buy for the HK trip! =D

One thing i realised about government buildings is that they are damn nice. seriously! they have all the pretty christmas trees, nice smelling air perfume and even mr bean cartoons to kill children's time while the adults do their stuff! sad to say.. i'm one of the ones watching the cartoon =P

Oh we went down to sim lim square yesterday to buy computer gadgets and boy, the atmosphere is as competitive as always! hahaa.. its fun walking around trying to gauge which shop is better and being stuffed with all the price lists. =P eventually bought some dvd-r disks and a SD card for my camera! almost wanted to buy the trek thumbdrive coz my dad says they just won the court case suing all the imitations so there's only one patented thumbdrive, trek, now. cool! support singapore stuff! =D

next up is queensway to buy my sports shoe!! woohoo! dad was truly amazed at how the prices there are not what the actual price is. all you have to do is to ask for discount and straight away, they'll give a 30% discount based on the price tag. =D pro-ness! hee hee hee. i remembered ling-er's words about how asics and new balance shoes are much better so i went to buy a blue with yellow neon stripes new balance shoes! =) the days of not getting caught my mdm tham! wahahaha XD

suddenly thought of something! let me digress a bit. was talking to derrick online yesterday and we were saying that maybe we should all try for another class gathering before the release of 'a' level results. everyone, do inform me when you will be free okay? like eg for siew only sundays mondays and tuesdays! gathering should be after chinese new year and i'll contact sok to plan games and stuff! =)

okay back to my outrageous shoe. hahaha. was quite happy with the purchase and my dad's all willing to pay for it because by that time he's too tired to say anything! hahahaa. he was mumbling, "where do you all youngsters get your energy from?"

oh i learnt alot about current affairs these two days because my dad talks about practically everything from the tree that the government spends two hundred thousand to preserve (dots!) to the history of europe and asia, including all the different dominations etc etc. now i know why thailand has always been a neutral country (makes me think of our 'a's GP paper switz clock joke. heeheehee) and all the timelines of domination. =) quite interesting if you really listen to what my dad is chattering about. hahaha. and also now i know all the interesting gossips about taiwan and china's relationship etc.. how we have to abide to the superpowers to have peace yadah yadah (humph!)

the world isn't very interesting but i realised is the people who are making the world interesting. heehee

oh! almost forgot.. anyone wants to go for band concert on the 11th of feb?? actually i still dunno the venue but i'll be playing in the alumni band. and i dunno the price also. hee. will inform you of more details soon! speaking of which, i'm freaking scared becuase 1) i haven't touched my bass for decades 2) i don't think i'll know most of the people in alumni! except our ex-chinese teacher though! hahaha she's so sweet!! bought roses for me for our SYF last time. 3) i have only like 6 sessions to practice ALL the songs after i come back from HK. 4) really hope i won't screw up. =/

still.. its a nice feeling to be back in school for something again. i'm starting to miss the LTs and spiral staircase. =)

and surprise surprise! even the tests! =) its so much more simple to be in school. hahaa

but i do enjoy the freedom now too! =P

sigh. but i have to go to work now. and its a friday!!! there'll be so many people queuing.. arghhhh
