Life's little indulgences

ahhh... Life is good. =)

Succumbed to the temptation of renting yet another book after i returned my sidney sheldon one. *grins* Was browsing around the little shop when my eyes spotted some brand new sophie kinsella books. tiny warning bells rang in my head with bright neon lights which showed the words "PRELIMS" but what the heck. Desire is more important. =D *satisfied smile* thus now i have a new shopaholic ties the knot book! woohoo! I seem to read books in descending order, ie from the newest to oldest, but oh well. anyway this is the only book i haven't read from the shopaholic series. the rest are all history. =D

Hmm, found out that my headings are always very plain so i shall have more interesting headings from now onwards. Not that you all can see, but yah. ^^

Digressed. back to the topic. went to suntec convention centre ballroom 2 yesterday for the straits time scholarships preview 2005! again, i'm just hopping over for fun and hoping to chance upon some nice course which i can add to my list of "interesting course to take".

Before that, i met kelly and siew at clementi interchange to go to clementi town sec's carnival. Was rather late due to weekend shopping people and the hoards of people going for NDP preview. anyway, it started raining just when we reached the school so we are quite lucky. =P The carnival is as usual, very packed, full of all sorts of things, agressive sales pitches etc... Quite fun though, i see a wide variety of stalls. =) Can't decide what to buy but eventually bought a cup of mixed sodas. mine is eh, ice lemon tea and sprite ice with longans. a bit cocktail-ish but taste rather nice. =)

Oh, there's this flea market in their sci lab 1 which is cool cos they sell really REALLY cheap stuff. being one of the first ones there, we managed to snatch some nice goods. heh heh. i got a antique necklace with beads for only 50cents! =DDDDD siew got a pink bead bracelet for the same price too! Kel bought some storybooks going for one buck each and a few accessories too.

After that we called a cab and after some misunderstandings, went on our way to suntec! It's still raining cats and dogs at that time. we realised that the roads are closed for NDP too but somehow the driver got to the destination. yay! ^^ shopped around a bit while walking and i bought a cute little kitty pouch to put my mp3 player in! think its way overdue as my mp3 has scratches already but oh well, better than nothing! hee hee.

Fast forward. The seminar is interesting but i don't plan to go overseas so yah, good experience though. Got tons of brochures and a notebook from the exhibition. many free gifts too. lol. we were all writing rubbish in siew's book during the seminar as we were quite bored during the rock band's performance.

Someone tapped me on the shoulder and said hi to me when i went out to fetch sok. guess what? i forgot who she is. she looked very familiar but i just can't process my brain at that moment in time. so i just waved and hi-ed!! back and walked on. sorry! =<

sonia looked veryyy sensual with that little white number with jeans that day! *winks*

i'm addicted to the cheese 'n' bacon biscuit. crap. wanted to bring on monday so i should stop eating it now. *munch munch*

Went to walk around somemore after the seminar (which we left halfway). Ate half-lunch-cum-dinner at fish and co. YUM. i lurveeee their fish and chips!!! =DDDD superb! Their fish is, HUGE. but the quality is definitely the best! Not those kind of flat and hard fried fish you see in foodcourts but juicy and succulent! *floats around* kelly's black pepper stingray looks quite appetising too.

anyway after that meal guilt kicks in and siew decided to go home to study. i'm quite guilty having a nice feast too while i shld be 'guai' and stay home. =P went to accompany kel to buy a concealer for her sis and fought the NDP crowds to go into city hall mrt station.

oh there's this funny announcement i heard in the station. "Attention, as the train station is very crowded at the moment, will all the people who are not taking the train please leave the area. Thank you for your kind understanding."

hahahahaha

the station looks like london's station two days after its bombed. police everywhere trying to spot potential terrorists and assorted familis in red giordano NPD shirts. hoho. why can't people who want to bomb people just leave us ALONE? like, find a deserted island and have fun bombing or just buy the 10cents per packet bombs which children (and me) like to play. so fun! =D

one thing came out good abt the 3kg worth of brochures i dragged home. dad's pretty happy about the navy poster i somehow got. he just keeps babbling on, "look! the newest i-forgot-the-name-but-it-sounds-like-fridge that costs a few billions!"

next thing i know he said i should try for navy scholarships. nice try, but no way. lol. i don't think i qualify so daddy just have to settle for the poster and a file with battleships infront.

vectors time! ciao~
