Things goes like this.
siew: boo! i'm bored.
me: me too.
siew: i wanna eat choc buffet.
me: it starts in an hour time. let's meet at orchard hotel in an hour's time!
Somehow i left house with only fifteen minutes to spare and i really don't know where orchard hotel is, so i took a cab. ooo the driver is scary. he guessed my age without hesitation. gosh. do i have "18" pasted on my forehead? anyway... arrived at the hotel and a butler happily opened the door for me and i regretted wearing a t-shirt. bah. wasn't too bad afterall. siew came and we trooped in, wondering where the hell is the la terrasse cafe.
found it on the second floor and it's quite small and cosy actually. some waitress showed us to our table and the seats are like sofa! cool... the food is ddeeeeeeelllliiiiccciioooouuusssss!

Cheesecake!!!!!!!!!! YUM. It's one of a kind, i tell you. though the base can be more crispy.
Some chicken feet thing that i tried. Full of skin. not a good experience.
Chocolate cake! taste like rocky road. =D
Andddd... our guest-of-honor for the day! Choc-covered fruits!!!! The fountain is fun to play with! hee hee. i was so fasinated with the flow of the milk choc. Oh my... paradise!
That's a honeydew by the way. totally chocolate covered. heh
***sorry for the quality of the photos. took with my hp cam. wanted to take the HUGE forks and knives they have but its blurred. Oh! the buffet only costs $23, inclusive of GST. isn't it cheap??????????? and its a three-and-a-half-star (siew's point of view) hotel to boot!
Thursday:
had band that day but wanted to see a doc and take a mc. was debating whether to go but eventually slept on. Met up with huiwen to buy stuff to give people on our concert day. =) will be our last concert so i bought many giant fake roses from spotlight. Thought that since real roses do not last, might as well have fake and pretty ones. ^^
After that is our crazy feat in topshop at lido!!! Bought two tops, a bottom and a seashell necklace, total bill $131!!!! Okay, its quite steep i know. but considering i didn't buy any clothes since like beginning of the year, i'm quite satisfied. =D Also bought new shoes for the many upcoming events this month!!! Like my birthday!!!!! hahaa. just kidding. more for a dinner event with the band and both anh's and chrys's performances.
Soon, its time to head to sonia's house for major mahjong session!!!!!!!!
Was quite exhausted and feeling light-headed when i reached but soon i'm playing table tennis with many people and hugging sonia's absolutely sweet dog, sammy! Many came this time round, like siew, kelly, cel, denise, su yun, derrick, david, keith, bing wei and jonathan.
Ping pong is fun! =D Though i have the tendency to stone and occasionally hits the roof with the bouncy ball. Won quite a lot of rounds in mahjong after that. Seriously i wonder where i get the luck from, but actually i play small, win small but win more rounds. I still don't know all the green dragons, 7 colours, shi san yao etc.. shall enlighten myself someday. =P
Soon after, its midnight on the dot and with kelly screaming, "oh my gosh.. i don't believe its midnight already!!!!" most of us decided to stay over at sonia's house and play mahjong through the night!!!! woohooooo!
While everyone's bathing and siew and derrick playing ping pong, david, bing and i proceed to find some board games to play. Turns out that they have "cashflow for kids" game which leon (sonia's younger bro) explains that it teaches one how to *erm* achieve financial stability. yeah right. its very simple though. you just throw the dice and pray hard you get more income than what you will spend. bing almost won at first, but somehow i got the lucky card which gives me tons of money!!!!!!! yiiiipppppeeeeeeee. screamed myself hoarse while playing. bad flu and sore throat.
when we played monopoly after that, i was talking in this "empty" voice which cracks me up. haha. Bing and david ganged up on me!!!!!!!!!! they cheated. traded all their cards so that they have all the sets of properties and i'm left with only one set, which is the cheapest brown ones at the start of the game!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! so frustrating. =P but hey! with my luck, i managed to skip over all bing's $900 lands and david's damn expensive mayfair and what's-the-other-called? anyway, its the last two land before you get to go. UNFAIR. humph. bully me. still, i have more money AND property than david after the game. HAHA. bing's only slightly ahead of me in terms of money.
This is getting rather long. =P
anyway, everyone bathed and split into groups playing mahjong and bridge. i won a few more rounds and kinda scared everyone off. whoops. I think i scare myself sometimes. haha. but the wind finally changed after awhile and everyone gets to win some too! =D
somehow or other, we realised its 7.30 am in the morning and with grunts of senseless mutterings, we all took our pillows and blankets and soar to dreamland. =D
however.......
heard some noise when i was sleeping and woke up finding siew staring into space beside me and derrick asking her if she wants to find sammy and play. found out that only both of them are awake and the rest are sleeping like logs. ^^ took pictures with sammy and played bridge again while waiting for everyone to wake up. guess what? at that time, its only 10.30am. so i slept for three hours. ho.
feels like i'm in a chalet. =P heck. its better than a chalet!!
ate breakfast and played more mahjong. gosh, i can memorise all the tiles now. hee hee.
oh, watched sonia and her brothers play lan DOTA in their study. cool. nice graphics. oh well. shall refrain from playing till exams are overrrrr!!!!
anyway, maybe we can have a water bombing session in sonia's house after 'a's. hahaha. watching her bros and their friends play, i feel like being a kid again and do funny stuff. like using a rubbish bin as my helmet. heeheeheehee
am totally worn out after everything. slept on my way home and hit the bed the moment i stepped into the house. what fun. =D
shall bring some change next time.
