ajc annual concert

went to AJC's band cum chinese orchestra (co) annual concert at the esplanade yesterday night. it's vesak day!! holiday!!! woohoo! hahaa. anyway, met huiwen in the afternoon to eat her fave bukit batok nasi lemak and hopped to tanglin to check out tanglin mall. quite lame huh. =P

arrived early and saw some sec sch mates! like one in xueli's class last time, yi xuan. was quite excited to see the co performance cos shuxuan, xueli and chew har are all in there! too bad jian en's not there.. army i guess.

the band performed pieces like phantom of the opera, pirates of the caribbean, jap drama songs and versuvius. its nice to be in co and band before. makes me know the east and west. haha.

anyway i think the co performance is the best!!!!! being one of the best JC chinese orchestra around, they really lived up to their name! shuxuan, if u r reading this i'm not kidding!!! its like, wow! I like their jiang jun ling and the last two songs!!! damn nice man... i can really feel the atmosphere and *sniff* i miss my erhu so much!!!! =D can see that the strings section is really good, cos everyone's bowing is so coordinated!

oh, their conductor is cool too! those long hair type with the 'musician' air. ^^ and he loves to comb his hair back at the end of every song. hahahaa.

and with their co-cum-band songs in the finale, guess what?? this is the first time i've ever heard the co overpowering the band!!! wow... i mean, i can even hear erhu in the midst of all the trumpets, flutes etc... can't believe it. it's superb man!!!!!!

had a really great time.. too bad can't bring flowers into esplanade, if not i'll give everyone flowers!!!!! you all did really really really really well! =)
