What a wonderful day... The camp finally ended with a grand finale concert and lots of nice memories... Maybe I should start in the beginning, but its 1.14am in the morning and i just came home not long ago. hahaa...
At first it was hard to get all JCs band people to play games and stuff as there are only four groups with 300++ people. Anyway, we played ice-breaking games in the first day and had fun eating the buffet they prepared for us. Charcoal veggies!!!! hahaa... Oh, it was the day i found out the Tuba section has five guys and one girl which is yours truly. heh heh. everyone was quite quiet partly becos practice was tough.
Our conductor is specially hired from thailand and he's a amry general or sth! hahaa.. he's very polite though. i can go on and on about him, cos he's really really really really good!!!!!!!!! He got lots of awards and composed a lot of songs. The best thing is he is funny yet serious. He knows how to use expressions and with his warped english (he has a cute accent. haahha) he made us laugh all the time.
I still rmb when we are playing firestorm, he kept saying 'NO MERCY!' and that soon became our band's fave quote of all time. =D for the past four days, we even watched a disney movie about how instruments are made. very cute!! the LTs in NIE are all soooooooooo posh!! We watched a movie about Franz Liszt, which our band is named after. Learnt quite a lot actually, with the scores being very difficult and i cant really hide like i usually do (heehee). but i really really really really really like all the songs we played! MOST is orient express!!!!!!!!!! soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo niceeeee gosh. hahaa
Yep.. All in all (i feel like i'm writing an essay. maybe i can submit this to mr lee. heh heh) band fest'04 was a successful one, though i may not know all the people in my band, but at least i know some. Oh, i discovered a long-lost swiss band peep is in my band too. Thomas chia!! that slacker went for band fest and not swiss band chalet.. hahaa...
Oooooo.. NTU auditorium is REALLY nice... i LOVE it man... sigh, i miss everyone sooooo much... though first few days i wasn't really happy cos the people looked quite cold to me.. but after awhile i find that they are really nice people... =) oh well, what comes around goes around. i'll have photos to keep though. yayyyyy
finalllyyyy. i can sleep. hahaa. well ciao ppl!! its 1.30am alrdy and i'm super duper tired. yay!! tml watchin polar express with dar. =P
